"Selected in the Panorama section of the 2020 Berlin Film Festival, 'Digger' is an unusual movie since it's a contemporary western but with Greek origins. True to its genre, it proposes an exploration of the grayer and more complicated sides of humanity, through a confrontation between father and son, but also of man against the machines that represent ruthless industrialization (and, ultimately, human ambition itself). It's a dark story, but one where director and screenwriter Georgis Grigorakis manages to find hope."
