"Several movies have been made about the relationship between humans and their horse friends. 'War Horse' is one of the most obvious examples, as well as 'Riding in the Redemption', 'The Black Stallion', and even the animated movie 'Spirit: The Untamed'. Now, Disney brings an even more refined look at this true friendship between humans and animals with the simple and emotional 'Black Beauty'. Directed and co-written by Ashley Avis, of 'Rebel Passion', the feature film follows the true friendship between a girl and her black-haired horse. Although it is quite obvious in its development, the movie hits the mark with the amount of emotion employed and, mainly, with a top-notch cast formed by Kate Winslet, Mackenzie Foy and Iain Glen. To be moved without moderation."
