Based on a true story, the production follows Giorgio's journey, an engineer who decides to build his own "island" in the middle of the ocean. And more: tired of the Italian government, he decides to build his own oasis outside of Italy's domain, declaring himself an independent state. With good moments, some well-fitted jokes and this unbelievable journey of a man in search of independence from a kind of oil platform, the viewer can learn a bit more about the political meanders that guide discussions outside of countries and the importance of keeping sovereign territories in 'L'incredibile storia dell'isola delle rose'. A bizarre story, which deserves to be known and remembered."
