The day is finally here when Marilou and Philippe will be able to fulfill their retirement dreams. As they organize their trip to Portugal, their children's lives start to fall apart and put the realization of that great dream at risk.
"This is a simple and quite entertaining movie, the charisma of the main couple, played by Michèle Laroque and Thierry Lhermitte, is the highlight of the production. 'Joyeuse retraite!' tells the story of Marilou and Philippe who are about to fulfill their retirement dream and end up facing some family problems along the way. Being a French comedy, the jokes are well-grounded and not exaggerated, a common trait in American humor movies. It's a light, funny production that brings good messages about life. It's ideal to be watched with family."
