"In Cameroon, Africa, there is a serious problem when it comes to girls' literacy, with a very low percentage of them being able to study in the present day. 'The Fisherman's Diary' tells the story of a girl who just wants to go to school. Inspired by Malala Yousafzai, this movie gives voice to thousands of girls who don't have the chance to pursue their dreams because of the countries they live in. As Malala herself would say, if a man can destroy the world, why can't a girl then change it? This is an extremely sensitive production and deals with a very important issue."
