"The Club of 27 is a term referring to a high number of musicians who died at age 27, usually due to excessive use of alcohol or drugs, or violent means such as homicide or suicide. Members of this group include Brian Jones from the British rock band Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison from The Doors, Kurt Cobain from Nirvana, and more recently Amy Winehouse. The documentary covers the tragic loss of each of them, and through interviews with acquaintances, musicians, and critics seeks an answer for the cause."
