Why watch this film?
Among Walt Disney Animation Studios' productions, 'Wreck-it Ralph' is the kind of movie that breaks the usual mold of the studio - that is, fairy tales of princesses. Although it is full of references to video game culture (from classics like 'Super Mario Bros.' to more recent franchises like 'Gears of War'), the script is completely original and tells a beautiful story about learning to accept ourselves as we are, without prejudice.

Zootopia
Directed by the duo Byron Howard (of 'Tangled') and Rich Moore ('Wreck-It Ralph'), 'Zootopia' is one of the smartest and most creative films from Walt Disney Animation. The story takes place in a society of animals created as a metaphor for our own society, where each animal has its predetermined function - until a rabbit arises willing to break with the status quo to achieve her dreams. Thus, we have a feature film that presents children with the changes of today's society, while speaking about diversity in a fun way. Deserving of the Oscar for Best Animation.

Ralph Breaks the Internet
A fun sequel to 'Wreck-It Ralph', now with characters Ralph and Vanellope navigating the immense internet. With lots of colors and references to pop culture, both good and bad things from the web, it's a feature-length film tailor-made to entertain parents, sons, and daughters alike. Also noteworthy are the female characters, who have the same weight and importance as the male ones in the plot. It is certainly one of Hollywood's great animations in the 2018-19 premiere season.

Mufasa: The Lion King
Rafiki relays the legend of Mufasa to lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala. Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka—the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion a journey of misfits searching for their destiny and working together to evade a threatening and deadly foe.

Thelma the Unicorn
A fun and tender animation directed by Jared and Jerusha Hess, creators of cult classics like Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre. In fact, Thelma the Unicorn shares similarities with these films: its plot follows the titular pony, who dreams of being a singer but is underestimated due to her size and appearance, despite her talent. Her life changes when, due to an accident with paint, glitter, and a carrot, she adopts the appearance of a unicorn and becomes a sensation. It’s a simple, uncomplicated story that, through the usual expectations of the entertainment industry (appearances over talent), conveys a message of acceptance and self-esteem.
