Why watch this film?
After the absolute success of critical and public acclaim with 'Monsters Inc.', Disney/Pixar decides to go back in time to show the origin of the friendship between Mike and Sullivan. The result is 'Monsters University', a much milder movie than 'Monsters Inc.', without the great insights of that original film. However, still, this feature film hits with some well-pointed stories, sympathetic insights and, of course, it's very fun to see these memorable characters from 'Monsters Inc.' in another environment and at another moment of their life. Again: it's not as good as the previous one, but it's a fun experience.

Onward
Set in a fantasy world that has long forgotten about magic, 'Onward' is an interesting surprise from Pixar. With a plot about the adventure of two brothers who take to the road to complete the spell that will bring their father back to the world of the living for just one day (and who accompanies them on the journey only from the waist down), the movie makes us appreciate the paternal presence and the affection between brothers. It may not be the most innovative animated feature from the studio, but it certainly warms the heart while entertaining. If you have your parental issues or with your siblings, it's best to watch with a handkerchief - especially in the last scenes. In English, the feature has a first-class original voice cast, including Tom Holland, Chris Pratt and Octavia Spencer.

Mufasa: The Lion King
Rafiki relays the legend of Mufasa to lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala. Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka—the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion a journey of misfits searching for their destiny and working together to evade a threatening and deadly foe.

Thelma the Unicorn
A fun and tender animation directed by Jared and Jerusha Hess, creators of cult classics like Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre. In fact, Thelma the Unicorn shares similarities with these films: its plot follows the titular pony, who dreams of being a singer but is underestimated due to her size and appearance, despite her talent. Her life changes when, due to an accident with paint, glitter, and a carrot, she adopts the appearance of a unicorn and becomes a sensation. It’s a simple, uncomplicated story that, through the usual expectations of the entertainment industry (appearances over talent), conveys a message of acceptance and self-esteem.
