Stephanie is a single mother with a parenting vlog who befriends Emily, a secretive upper-class woman who has a child at the same elementary school. When Emily goes missing, Stephanie takes it upon herself to investigate.
"Filmmaker Paul Feig is most known for comedies that put women at the center of the story, such as "Spy" and "The Heat," or even the remake of "Ghostbusters." For "A Simple Favor," the director takes a different approach by making a thriller, though with humorous elements and maintaining female protagonism.
