My Spy: The Eternal City is the second film in a franchise with a simple premise: mix action and comedy in equal measures through the story of a CIA agent (Dave Bautista) who is sent to surveil a family and ends up at the mercy of a precocious 9-year-old girl (Chloe Coleman). In this vein of The Game Plan, The Tooth Fairy, and The Pacifier, this feature film brings back the two characters. Now, the teenage Sophie convinces the tough guy JJ to accompany her on a school trip, where they both end up becoming pawns in an international terrorist plot targeting the head of the CIA.

Grudge Match
It must be said: this comedy is what happens when someone imagines a crossover between Rocky and Raging Bull, and then turns it into a screenplay. Fist Fight is the dream come true for fans of the two biggest boxing icons of cinema in the 70s and 80s. However, beyond that, it is a movie whose script is somewhat irregular, sprinkled with moments of forced comedy and references to the classics of its two protagonists. Recommended if you are a fan of Robert De Niro or Sylvester Stallone.

The premise of a hard-nosed agent on a mission to protect children who will test his patience will certainly be more than familiar if you grew up watching Disney's 'Operation Babysitter' starring Vin Diesel. Under the direction of Peter Segal ('Agent 86'), you'll find that 'The Apprentice' results in something quite similar, a rather simple spy comedy whose merit is to raise the action to levels more akin to 'John Wick'. The heart of the movie lies in the chemistry between young actress ('Big Little Lies') and former wrestler Dave Bautista ('Guardians of the Galaxy'), who has established himself as a talent equally adept at action as verbal and physical comedy.
Second Act
Jennifer Lopez is the big selling point of 'A New Chance', a comedy about a 40-something woman who accumulates many frustrations in life and doesn't have the career she wants, but receives a second chance to be successful professionally (albeit from a lie). Unfortunately, the script gets lost in obvious situations and humor that isn't exactly funny. Still, the message of resilience is engaging and will surely have a positive effect on those going through similar situations and need a positive boost.
