Starring Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey), Am I Ok? is a romantic comedy directed by Tig Notaro and Stephanie Allynne, which premiered and was acclaimed at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. It's a film with a very modest but sincere plot: a woman in her 30s discovers that her romantic failures with men are because she is a lesbian, and now she must learn to deal with and feel comfortable with her newly discovered sexuality. It's not a film of great dramatic proportions, but its honesty and the naturalness of its performances (with a cast including Sonoya Mizuno and Kiersey Clemons) elevate it, making it as fun as it is moving.
