Why watch this film?

Argylle is one of those films made for those who enjoy Kingsman. Not only because it's directed by the same director, Matthew Vaughn, but also because it has a very similar and refreshing vibe – reminiscent, above all, of the franchise's first film. Here, Elly Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard), an introverted espionage writer who rarely leaves her home, is drawn into the real world of espionage when the plots of her books get too close to the activities of a sinister underground syndicate. When Aiden (Sam Rockwell), a spy, shows up to save her from being kidnapped or killed (or both!), Elly and her Alfie are plunged into a secret world where nothing and no one is what it seems. In addition to Howard and Rockwell, the film features an absolutely stellar cast, including heavyweights like Bryan Cranston, Henry Cavill, Samuel L. Jackson, Catherine O'Hara, John Cena, and more.
