"India is a complex, colorful, and ancestral country. That's why thousands of people go there every year in search of a deeper connection with their roots, instincts, and ancestors. In the spiritual film 'UMA: Light of Himalaya', documentary filmmaker Ananda Jyothi leads a co-production between Brazil and India to show this search for spirituality in the Asian country. And going further, it also delves into one of the most powerful and contradictory symbols of Hinduism: the Ganges River, which crosses the country and attracts people in search of spiritual answers. Dedicated, 'UMA: Light of Himalaya' does not serve to question such rites, nor to understand other conceptions of what lies behind this spirituality. It is a film, finally, to accept its ideologies and embark."
